About Me
I am a Washington State–licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Washington in Seattle and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma). I completed a clinical internship at kʷaxʷačiʔ (Kwawachee) Behavioral Health & Wellness for the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority.
My approach to couples counseling is also highly informed by my training with the world-renowned Gottman Institute. I completed Levels 1 and 2 certification in The Gottman Method for Couples, as well as completing The Gottman Method to Treating Affairs and Trauma. I have also received training in Narrative Therapy with Couples from the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy, in British Columbia.
Prior to becoming a couples therapist, I was a human resources executive helping people strengthen their work relationships.
I was born in Seattle; spent my early childhood in Oakland, California; and attended high school on Vashon Island, which is once again my home. My spouse and I have a blended family with three young-adult children. As Empty Nesters, we love taking long walks in nature, hearing live music, collecting vinyl records, and cooking for friends.
